The Addictions Support Worker will implement the prevention/early intervention healing model of all programming. The addictions support worker will proactively connect with individuals/families and youth with in-home supports, healing plans, outreach plans, and additional plans that will strengthen
the individual’s success to recovery. The support worker will be responsible for developing rapport with the client and meeting the client where they are at. The Addictions Support Worker will need to provide addiction support or case management in an individual or group setting; to include the traditional session, individual/group sessions, treatment assessment and preparation, case management, planning and implementing community programs and outreach services.
The addiction support worker will be located at the children’s village – reunification building in Siksika; whereas services will be offered to both on/off reserve Siksika community members.
