In a trauma-informed approach, all people at all levels of the organization or system have a basic realization about trauma and understand how trauma can affect families, groups, organizations, and communities as well as individuals. Trauma-informed care seeks to realize the widespread impact of trauma and understand paths for recovery. Recognize the signs and symptoms of trauma in clients, families, and staff. The Trauma-Informed Care worker will provide training, healing circles and coaching in trauma-informed caregiving practices, develop engaging training resources and meaningful learning experiences for families, young people, the community, and SFSC staff and management in becoming Trauma-Informed and Resilient.
